Developing Smiles
little girl with big smile

Children are certainly one of life's treasures. As your child develops, their teeth play a very important role in the development of the face. The primary teeth begin erupting as early as six months of age and vitally function in holding space for development of the jaws. They are lost at various times and need to be monitored.

Your child should have his/her first check up around three years of age. Most of their primary teeth have erupted by this age and they have begun to eat a wide variety of foods. At this time, we like to start their education on taking care of their teeth.

We love watching your children grow up. We understand that children are interested in eating candy and not near as interested in keeping their teeth clean. We can help. Permanent teeth can be sealed to block out the harmful effects of sugar. Regular check-ups will help keep your child decay-free and developing properly.

As your little one grows, larger permanent teeth replacing baby teeth can force teeth out of alignment. We are careful to monitor your child’s smile and will make orthodontic referrals when the timing is appropriate.
